The NewsFlash Corporation Launches eSomething— An Unrivaled Business Messaging Tool for Marketers

Solution closes gap between using e-mail marketing tools for personal communications and using e-mail for business messaging and customer analytics — increasing understanding of buyer perceptions, opinions and behaviors.

FALMOUTH, MA  July 1, 2003. The NewsFlash Corporation today announced the launch of eSomething™ –a solutions suite providing unrivaled business messaging tools for marketers. eSomething bridges the e-mail gap by taking e-mail from a personal communications venue to a business messaging venue and providing embedded high value customer analytics to increase understanding of buyer perceptions, opinions and behaviors.

Business messaging are e-mail-based communications that include e-newsletters, e-postcards and other sophisticated opt-in e-mail messaging types. This also includes sales confirmations, invitations, promotions, and announcements. The eSomething suite has a definitive business-quality "look and feel" and offers such features as integrated subscriber management and personalization of individual communications to create a mass customization production environment. Additionally, analytical tools provide metrics on subscriber activity through "drill-downs" on an individual viewer’s click stream. eSomething also manages multiple and shared e-newsletters, articles shared between e-newsletters, and supports developers with different roles.

Increasingly, companies are looking to take the behavioral information gleaned from the business messaging analytics and integrate it with other sources of customer behavior to support their customer relationship management strategies. "I see this as a very valuable feature," said Matthew Miller, Director of Marketing at Atomic Ski USA. "Analytics from e-newsletters tell us what customers are interested in and what their opinions are by the way they traverse the e-newsletter, not unlike a Web site. The data is very complimentary and can enrich the profile of customers as a basis for deeper analysis".

"In the past, it was a real challenge publishing custom constructed e-newsletters, staying on schedule and under budget," said Clifford Robbins, Senior Management Counselor-University of Massachusetts Small Business Development Center. "Having an automated authoring environment, subscriber system and integrated analytics would shorten our time to market, provide broader reach, and enable dramatic cost savings. The net result would be a stronger brand, highly qualified leads, and increased customer loyalty."

Market data is indicating a rapid acceptance of e-mail marketing techniques. Juniper Communications™ projects revenues for e-mail marketing to soar to $7.3 billion by 2005. Further, they forecast that by the end of this year, e-mail marketing will have risen to 62%, up from 28% in 2001.

We believe eSomething fits that description like hand-in-glove."
